The Jets are Coming Back
East Texas Regional Airport is pleased to announce the return of Regional Jet Service from American Eagle to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport starting late in January.
The 50 seat jets are expected to maintain their current schedule of service.
The current flight schedule is:
Monday - 2 flights a day
Tuesday - 1 flight a day
Wednesday - 1 flight a day
Thursday - 2 flights a day
Friday - 2 flights a day
Saturday - 2 flights a day
Sunday - 2 flights a day
The return of the regional jets is expected to offer an improvement in the airport's load factor numbers, which may help promote additional service to the airport.
A Vision for the Future
June 29th at commissioner’s court, East Texas Regional airport, working with the design firm of Corgan and Associates and with the engineering assistance of KSA Engineers, presented to the commissioners a proposal for the renovation of the terminal building.
The plans include an expanded waiting room for passengers, an expanded baggage claim area, a new building façade, and other improvements all designed to aid the passengers and citizens of East Texas.
The renovations will be funded by the FAA to a cost of $2 Million dollars. Gregg County will contribute 5%.
